At-home exercises to ensure your fitness

The importance of daily and regular exercise could not be stressed enough, more so in the current competitive times when your body fitness is of paramount importance to take on the daily challenges of life. However, it is not feasible and possible for everyone to hit the gym every day primarily because of the time constraints of college and offices, in addition to the lack of time that comes with the constraints of being there for your family and friends. Hence it is understandable that you might be missing out on some quality exercise time due to the lack of time to go to the gym daily and the associated hassles with going to a different place. So here we have put together a list of exercises that you could do from the comfort of your home and also ensure fitness:

  • Jogging and Running

Jogging and running are the easiest to do and perhaps the most effective of exercises. You don’t need to go outside to a park to a field or burn a hole in your pocket to buy a treadmill, all you need to do is rent treadmill and place it anywhere in your home or your garage or balcony, you can even have it in your living room and believe it or not it will add to your style. Using it is rather easy, all you need to do is have a 5 minute of warm-up and then switching between running and walking slowly building up your stamina.

  • Cycling

Cycling is an extremely helpful and powerful exercise, as it helps you in strengthening your core and leg muscles, in addition to burning the excess calories off of your body. However, you don’t need to buy a cycle, if that is what’s worrying you, all you need to do is rent cross trainer and start following a daily routine of trying to cycle about 20minutes daily. With time you can increase your stamina and have longer workout sessions thereby undeniably proving the efficacy of cycling as a cardiovascular exercise.

  • Pushups

After having done your warm-ups and worked on your legs, core and stamina now is the time to start working on your body. The first muscle group you should work on is the chest and the simplest and the most effective exercise for this, are the pushups. You don’t need any equipment for this, try to wear a loose-fitting shirt if possible and start working on your pushup form. The upper body and mainly the chest should be parallel to the ground. This exercise also affects the shoulders and the triceps. Initially, you might not be able to do many pushups but with the time you can build up on your pushup stamina.

An important thing to keep in mind is to always control and pace your breathing for maximum efficiency of these exercises and you’ll be on your way to fitness and a fresh mind in no time.
